Hiatus...

Hi Guys, Unfortunately I am going to have to take a hiatus from my little corner of the blogging community! I have got loads on over the next few weeks and I'm trying to up-cycle a load of furniture before I move into my new flat, plus work so won't really have any free time! I move into my new home at the end of May, so once I'm settled I'll be back with more diet updates, beauty reviews and my favourite purchases. Celebrity Style of the Week: Sam Faiers

Whilst having my morning read of the Daily Mail website this morning, I came across the obligatory article about The Only Way Is Essex stars on their way to filming. I don't often hunt things down after seeing them worn by a celebrity, as I usually assume it's going to be too expensive, but I did have a feeling Truffle Shuffle would be the home of this particular jumper. I love this casual look on Sam - I actually think she looks better dressed down and is naturally really pretty. As soon as payday arrives this jumper will be mine. I will get a lot of wear out of it year round as it will go with so many looks - wear with jeans like Sam for casual Springtime look or with shorts for a cute festival outfit.

Diet & Life Update

Never fear, I am here! Apologies for the unexpected 2 week hiatus. Sometimes life just gets in the way of blogging. That and not having internet for a week! I thought I would just give you a little update as to what has happening in the world of Shelley! Normal reviews and purchases will be resumed this week!

Diet

Diet is still going well. I have now lost 1 stone 12 pounds since 20th February. This marks the half way spot! Woohoo! I still have around the same to lose further, and I still aim to do this by Summer. There has been a lot of publicity surrounding the Cambridge Weight Plan recently due to Lauren Goodger from The Only Way Is Essex publically announcing she has started it. I think she has a great figure, and I wish her the world of luck - it's a hard diet and must be even more difficult in the public eye and being on the go as much as she is! Seeing some pictures of her today on the Daily Fail Mail website she seems to be really glowing and doing well on the plan. Good Luck Lauren!

Life

Work has been really busy recently so I have been beavering away booking people's dream holidays to Disney in Florida and also working on our company's new website.

It's also been decided this week that I will be moving into a new flat next month - its beautiful with high ceilings, a lovely bay window in the bedroom and a huge garden which I will luckily have sole use of (the other 2 flats don't use it!) - I'm really excited and have been buying some bargain furniture to put in it. I bought a horrible old varnished solid wood pine table and chairs and I am currently in the process of sanding it all down and painting it white - yes, I am a big fan of the shabby chic look! Next on my list is a lovely dressing table...!

So that is really about all that has been going on in my little life - nothing too exciting!

Hello Kitty Shoes

Just a quick one! I would just like to say now, yes, I am 24 years of age and yes, I do love Hello Kitty. There! I said it! While perusing in my local Sports Direct today, I came across these. I knew that regardless of how much they were, they had to be mine. So off I went to the till and discovered they were... £5. A FIVER! For some CUTE Hello Kitty shoes?! GET ON MY FEET. And so boys and girls, we come to the end of the story of how these Hello Kitty shoes came to be mine.
I love them.

Diet Update: Week 6

So, somehow, I have reached week 6 of my diet journey. I lost a further 2lbs this week taking me to a loss of 22lbs in total. I honestly did not know I possessed this much willpower. Now, if only I could apply that willpower to not buying clothes and make up. (LOLZ - JK) It's been a pretty straightforward 6 weeks to be honest and definately does not feel like I have been on it that long, but the results do speak for themselves! Usually I would have made excuses as to why I would need a 'break' from a diet, which would obviously be 2 or 3 times per week, but I haven't even wanted to do that.

Aside from my body changes, the biggest change I have seen is in my confidence - I'm back wearing JEANS. I used to live in jeans but for the past year or two I have been making excuses... 'Oh leggings are more comfortable... I prefer wearing dresses anyway...'. I really feel like a new person already - I'm so excited for how I am going to feel in a couple of months time once I reach my goal!

L'Oreal Caresse Lipstick Review

After searching for the new Revlon lip butters and getting frustrated because none of the shops in my town sell them, I decided to try and find an alternative. I came across these L'oreal Caresse lipsticks and I am officially in love! This is the perfect cross between lip stick and lip balm. I decided to go safe with the Nude colour - however you can see from the pictures that they are buildable. It's very moisturising and I found it to last longer than normal lipsticks. I love the packaging of these too - they are quite sturdy and the lids don't fall off in your bag! Always a bonus! I will definately be buying more shades of this lipstick - especially with the 3 for 2 promotion on in Boots at the moment - they are priced at £7.99.
