Revlon Galaxy Topcoat

Revlon Galaxy Revlon Galaxy Revlon Galaxy Bunny I love Revlon nail varnishes - 'Facets of Fushia' is one of my favourite nail varnishes of all time, so I was eager to try 'Galaxy'. Revlon nail varnishes are around £6.49 which I think is actually a little steep - I don't really like to pay any more than a fiver for a nail varnish, but I got this when Boot's had a 3 for 2 promotion on. (They have one on now actually - go go go!)

As it says on the bottle, this is a top coat. I didn't read that so expected it to be a lot more opaque than it is! As you can see on my (horrible - sorry about that) nail - there are some tiny specks of silver, black and blue glitter with larger hexagonal pieces of silvery, almost holographic glitter. I think this would look great over a number of different bases, making it really versatile. I'm going to use it over black for an evening look with a hint of glitter.

I thought I would also include a picture of Mark Hoppus as he was helping me take the photos :)

Collection turns 25!

Photobucket Photobucket On Wednesday I received a lovely message from Collection (formerly Collection 2000) inviting me and a friend to attend their 25th birthday party at the 24 bar in London. Despite the short notice, with a few frantic texts, myself and Leanne were soon on our way to London.

The location of the party was brilliant and central - there was a photobooth which we just couldn't resist - we put on our *best* blogger poses for that! I've nabbed Alice's photo of our efforts. Don't be too jealous, we can't help being that hot ;-)
Entertainment included performances by Diana Vickers and new girl band, Fan Fair. Guests could also get a Collection makeover (as seen above!) so we could try out all the new products. The new packaging for Collection has a more grown up feel - it's lovely actually because my first ever 'real' makeup was Collection 2000 so it's like I've grown up with them. We were given some of the new bits to try and so far I have been really impressed with them - I will do some reviews next month.

As this was my first 'blogger event' one of the best bits for me was meeting some of you lovely bloggers - obviously I've known Leanne for yeeeeeears (we both have embarrasing photos of each other) so it was really lovely to talk to the girls behind the blogs I have been reading for yonks!

Overall I had a really great evening and I'm looking forward to meeting more of you in the future!

The gorgeous girls I met were:
Alice - Super Gorgeous
Sarah - My Sentimental Heart
Corrie - Dizzy Brunette 3
Sarah - City Girls Fashion Box
Laura - Belles Boutique
Aisling - Fash-ling
Livia - Princess Livia

There was lots of other bloggers there that I would liked to have said 'Hi!' too but unfortunately didn't get to - next time!

Diet Update

Diet Update Blimey, I can't believe it's been a week since my last diet update already! I hope you enjoy these posts - it's quite theraputic for me to post the info - and very motivating. I would be far too embarrased to post next week being all 'errrr I quit the diet' haha.

So this is my fourth week on the diet and I have lost 17lbs to date! Really really happy with this! I have also been measured today and I have lost 11.5 inches in total - things are fitting better and getting looser! The most important change is my BMI however which has gone from 32.3 to 29.4 as my main reason for dieting is to improve my health.

Sunshine Bargains

There is nothing I love more than getting an absolute bargain. I will often come home from a shopping trip with an outfit for under £20 and I am happy to have a good old root around in the messy sale sections to nab myself some cut-price goodies. At the moment, I am on a clothes ban. No more clothes until I reach my goal weight - eek! I sorted out my wardrobe floordrobe last week and I was genuinely astounded at the amount of clothes I have, some not even been worn! 8 bin bags later and I STILL have too many. SIGH. However, there is nothing in my rules that say I cannot buy make up or shoes. So I did both.

Boots have their usual 3 for 2 offers on at the moment, and I wanted some shimmery bronzer and some BB cream. I had heard really good things about the BB cream from other bloggers so was excited to try it - review to come! I also loved this Instant Glow Gold Bronze Shimmer Brick - the offer on meant I got this great brush absolutely free!

I also got these gorgeous shoes from the Dorothy Perkins range in my local Outfit - they were an amazing £10 and I think they will be perfect for Summer parties and a nice change from black shoes!

Are there any tips from fellow bloggers on saving your images? I have an awesome camera which gives lovely images but when I upload to Blogger they become blurry and distorted, even though I save as the size I require!

Batiste Dry Shampoo Cherry

Hi Girls!

I have been waiting for my local Boots to get this in stock FOREVER! It's the latest in the line of Batiste dry shampoo fragrances - Cherry. This is £2.99 for a 200ml can which lasts me ages! I usually get the tropical one but as soon as I found out this baby had been bought out I knew I had to have it.

As usual, this dry shampoo instantly refreshes my hair. I have quite thick hair, and hair extensions so it's just not practical for me to wash it every day - this is a life saver! I give my hair a quick spray of this in the morning and I'm good to go. The scent is delicious and definately my favourite of the whole range.

I think the Batiste range is good value for money, and my favourite brand of dry shampoo.

Diet Update

Hi Girls,

I thought I would give you a little update on how my diet is going! I'm really proud to say that I have lost my first stone! I have been on the Cambridge Weight Plan for 3 weeks now and feel absolutely fantastic! I've still got 2 or 3 (going to see how I feel after 2 more lost!) to go but overall I'm feeling so happy with my progress so far. My collar bones have started to reappear and I have noticed my waist is smaller too! I have got tickets to 3 festivals this year and I am determind to wear shorts at them!

I'm thinking of buying some 'goal' shorts in a size 10 to keep me focused. Anyone got any recommendations?! I'm thinking high waisted!

Just wanted to say as well, HI to my new followers, I really appreciate each and every one of you taking the time to read my little space on the interweb!
